I think you both should take a linguistics class. For @theblacknationalist, it will answer your question more fully and give you the insight to better unpack these ideas— I think you’re on the right track with them but I think it goes deeper.. and for @vivalaevolucion it will give insight to why people might find English (and all proper forms of languages) oppressive— and why it isn’t something that needs to be dismissed, but conversed about.
language is so much deeper than what people allow themselves to believe.
